The Emirati Minister agrees and invites your ambassador to a meeting. However, at the meeting he simply declares that the UAE has a historical right to the Omani exclave and insists that the UAE is being generous by agreeing to leave approximately half of it under Omani control.
|Suggest ceding the territory||It is only half of Musandam, you will retain some access to the Strait, and you will avoid any further confrontation with your wealthier, powerful neighbor.|
|Suggest the Sultan sends an envoy||The envoy would represent the Sultan to the UAE's President or Minister of Foreign Affairs. The purpose of this visit should be to stress Oman's commitment to friendly relations with the UAE and to solve the dispute peacefully.|
|Reach out to the UN||Request diplomatic interference and a commitment to militarily aid Oman in defense of its territory.|
|Reach out to the US and Iran||Strengthen relations and elicit commitments that each will protect your territorial integrity from Emirati aggression.|
|Send troops to strengthen the border||Station them on the border between Musandam and the UAE. Warn the UAE that territorial aggression will not be tolerated and demand that the UAE back down.|
|Suggest the Sultan invades the UAE||Clearly they will not back down. It is best to act pre-emptively and gain a military edge.|
